A day after the Election Commission announced poll dates for four states and a Union Territory, ABP News along with C-Voter predicted that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will retain Assam and win Puducherry, the DMK-Congress alliance will form the government in Tamil Nadu, third term for the Mamata Banerjee-led TMC in West Bengal and a second term for the Communist Party in Kerala.
ABP News – C Voter Survey predicts TMC will return to power in the West Bengal and is likely to bag somewhere between 148 to 164 seats in the 294-member legislative assembly. BJP will increase its tally in state assembly by winning 92-108 seats. Congress which is contesting in alliance with Left parties, is expected to win 31-39 seats in the state.
ABP Network – C Voter survey predicts 154 – 162 seats for UPA alliance which comprises (DMK, Congress and Others) with little over 41 per cent vote share. As per the survey, the NDA alliance (AIADMK, BJP and Others) is projected to secure 58 – 66 seats with about 28.6 per cent vote share. MNM is expected to win 2-6 seats, AMMK 1 – 5 and Others 5 – 9 seats.
ABP News – C Voter Survey found that ruling Left Democratic Front (LDF) most likely to return to power in Kerala. CPI(M)-led LDF can win a simple majority by winning somewhere between 83 – 91 seats in the 140 member assembly. Meanwhile, Congress-led UDF might get restricted to 47-55 seats
BJP+ is expected to make government in Puducherry for the first time with somewhere around 17 – 21 seats while Congress+ lags behind with 8-12 seats. ABP C-Voter Opinion Poll predicts BJP is most likely to return to power in Assam. In 126 member Assam Assembly, BJP is most likely to get somewhere between 68-76 seats and Congress stands second in the race with 43-51 seats.
