Melbourne: As a first of its kind, a family conference for the members of the Malankara Orthodox Church congregations in Australia, Singapore, Malaysia and New Zealand will be held from January 17th – 19th, 2019 at Lady Northcote Recreation camp, Glenmore Road, Rowsley, Melbourne, Victoria, 3340. The Family Conference is known as ‘ENCHRISTOS’, which means ‘IN CHRIST’.
The main theme of the conference is “We are all One in Christ (Galatians 3: 28)”. The conference will be held in the form of Worship, Bible Study, Meditation, Theme Presentation, Clergy Meet, Kids Talent Fest, Youth Session along with other Entertainment Programs. The activities of the Family Conference, will be held primarily under the leadership of Madras Diocesan Metropolitan His Grace Dr. Yuhanon Mar Diascoros. His Grace Dr. Joseph Mar Dionysius – Metropolitan of Calcutta Diocesan will be the chief guest. Classes by renowned Professor Rev. Fr. Philip Kuruvilla of St. Thomas Orthodox Theological Seminary, Nagpur and other eminent international personalities will be present. Rev. Fr. Saju Unnooni (Asst Vicar – St. Mary’s Indian Orthodox Cathedral – Melbourne) is heading the Conference Committee as the General Convener along with the support of all other clergy and representatives from parishes in Australia.
