Ingredients:
- Fresh Beef – 1 kg
- Coconut Oil / Olive Oil – 8-10 tbsp
- Onion – 3
- Chopped Garlic – 1/2 cup (or Garlic paste – 2 tbsp)
- Chopped Ginger – 1/2 cup (or Ginger paste – 2 tbsp)
- Curryleaves – 2 sprigs
- Tomato – 2 big (sliced)
- Green Chillies – 5-7 (sliced)
- Turmericpowder – 1/2 tsp
- Kashmiri chilly powder – 2 tbsp
- Coriander powder – 4 tbsp
- Garam masala – 1 tsp
- Salt – to taste
- Hot water – as required
Preparation Method
- Clean, wash and drain the Beef pieces and keep aside
- Heat oil in a Pressure Cooker and saute sliced onions and Tomato
- Stir and sauté well till onions becomes softened and golden in colour.
- Add the finally chopped ginger, garlic, green chiliies and curry leaves.
- Then add turmeric powder, garam masala, kashmiri chilly powder and coriander powder to it. Add salt as required
- Add the beef pieces, cover and pressure cook on high for upto 2 steam whistles.
- Turn down the heat to low and cook for few more minutes.
- Beef curry is ready.
Serve hot with steamed rice / chappathi / appam / etc. |
