Ingredients :
- Mangoes (or Lemon) : 1/2 kg
- Oil (Coconut / Olive) : 4 tsp
- Mustard seeds : 1 tsp
- Red chillies : 3 Nos
- Curry leaves : 2 sprigs
- Turmeric powder : ½ tsp
- Chilli powder : 4 tsp
- Salt : to taste
- Fenugreek powder – 1/4 tsp
- Asafoetida powder : 1/2 tsp
Preparation Method:
- Slice mangoes along with skin. (If you are making lemon pickle, cut each in to small pieces)
- Warm oil and add mustard seeds, red chillies and curry leaves.
- Saute for some time and add ½ glass water.
- Add turmeric powder, chilli powder and salt, and let it boil
- After boiling for two minutes remove from flame
- Add sliced mangoes and keep covered till mango (or lemon) is cooked.
- Add fenugreek powder and asafoetida powder, mix well and serve.
